What is sub ohm vaping?

Sub ohm vaping refers to a style of vaping that uses high-powered hardware with low-resistance coils to produce bigger clouds with more flavour.

Sub ohm vaping requires you to use a DTL (direct to lung) vaping style, where you pull the vapour directly into your lungs rather than pooling it in your mouth first, which is the case with MTL (mouth to lung) vaping.

Sub ohm vape utilise coils with a resistance below 1 ohm (which is why it's called "sub ohm"), and these coils typically need thicker E-Liquids which are higher in VG to keep from burning and leaking.

What E-Liquids go in sub ohm vapes?

Because of the type of coils they use, sub ohm vape kits require high-VG E-Liquids. 70% VG or more is best.

High-VG E-Liquids are typically found in shortfills, though you should always check the VG/PG ratio of the E-Liquid to ensure it's compatible with your device.

Do sub ohm vape kits need batteries?

Some sub ohm vape kits will require you to purchase external vape batteries. These batteries are typically larger and more robust and will likely last you longer than a vape that has a built-in battery.

External vape batteries also have the benefit of being rechargeable and replaceable, and you can always keep a spare battery on standby for when your vape dies and you're away from your charger!
